We are excited to invite you to the NSPA Texas Regional Meeting, hosted by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. This gathering offers a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow scholarship providers and partners in the region, share insights, and engage in meaningful discussions.

Join us for a day filled with round table discussions, networking, and collaborative conversations designed to enhance our collective efforts in supporting students through scholarships. Lunch will be provided. This is a fantastic chance to learn from one another and strengthen the scholarship community in Austin and the surrounding areas of Texas.

Description

This Regional Scholarship Provider Network is designed, hosted, and facilitated privately by the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation.

The Regional Scholarship Providers Network (RSPN) supports scholarship providers across the 4-county area of Sarasota, Charlotte, DeSoto and Manatee counties.

We are a convening group of 40 individuals hosted by the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation. We have quarterly meetings where we discuss issues that impact scholarships, collaborate around ideas to best support students and share best practices with each other about how to manage our scholarship processes.

The shared goal of RSPN members is to successfully support students in their post-secondary path through granting scholarships and to increase graduation attainment. Anyone that manages or grants scholarships is welcome to attend RSPN meetings.

RSPN came out of a 2022 State of Scholarships Regional Study that the Selby Foundation conducted in partnership with our local partner, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, to investigate the college attainment and academic achievement gaps in the region.

RSPN’s overall objectives are for local scholarship providers to reduce these gaps by increasing regional collaboration, sharing information, strengthening relationships, improving communications, and learning or developing together.

RSPN encompasses the general makeup of the communities we serve where attendees are local high school, college and career professionals, college financial aid advisors, sororities/fraternities, workforce partners, chambers of commerce, vocational/technical school representatives, non-profit organizations, foundations and any other local partners that directly grant and manage financial awards to students in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.

The group allows for professional development, process improvements and advocacy, as well as collaboration on strategies such as marketing and outreach opportunities alongside of other professionals.

Our 2022-2026 topics are group-driven and have included: Individual and Collective Scholarship Marketing & Outreach Strategies, a Regional Scholarship Common Application, Student Support Services, Renewable Scholarships, FAFSA Changes, A.I., Fundraising, Defining Measurable Results and Data Tracking.
