Cooper Metz (she/her), Program Director of Community Engagement, Northwest Education Access -Cooper has worked in the education nonprofit sector for over a decade. She began with NW Education Access in 2018 as an Education Advocate supporting students in the North & Central Seattle Area. In her current role she leads the Student & Community Engagement Team, which works to enhance student and alumni community-building, social capital, and organizational engagement. She also collaborates with Program Directors and Managers to enhance training and support for staff, improve services offered to students, and provide capacity-building training and assistance to service providers out in the community. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the University of Washington.

Katy Childers (she/her), Finance Director, Northwest Education Access - A member of the team since 2015, Katy leads NWEdA’s finance, contracting, and grant fundraising efforts and helped to quintuple the size of the organization in that time. In her 25 years of nonprofit experience, she has also worked with international development, housing, and conservation organizations in program and fundraising
roles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, and Master’s in Public Administration specializing in nonprofit management, both from the University of Washington.

Kesa Jessup, Ed.D. (candidate), is a higher education and philanthropy professional with over 18 years of experience in college access, student success, and scholarship administration. She currently serves as Director of Access to Postsecondary Education at the Winston-Salem Foundation, where she oversees a multi-million-dollar scholarship portfolio and works closely with donors, institutions, students, and community partners to advance equitable access to higher education. In addition to her foundation leadership, Kesa has held professional roles across both university and community college settings in North Carolina and is an experienced adjunct faculty member teaching African American History and college success courses. Her scholarship and practice are grounded in equity, relationship-centered leadership, and systems-level change within college access ecosystems.
