  • Processing Scholarships and Grants
  • Board Education Related to Scholarships
  • Strategic Planning
  • Program Structure and Staffing/Time Management
  • Choosing Software

Lauren Grevel works on all things youth and education related at the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation. She works with the Youth Advisory Council, made up of about 20 high schoolers, as they learn how to be community grantmakers and philanthropists, all while developing their leadership skills. She also manages the scholarship program of about 200 funds that help to provide assistance to local students. Lauren started at the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation in December of 2011 and has held many different roles over the years.

Sarah Lambert is the Community Investment Director at the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL), where she oversees all of CFNIL’s competitive grantmaking including scholarships, grants to local nonprofits, and youth philanthropy. She joined CFNIL in 2015 as a Grants Officer, administering scholarship programs for more than 100 unique funds.

Jennifer Marino joined the Pittsburgh Foundation in 2016 as scholarship coordinator. In her position, she administers that program, which covers about 300 scholarships totaling $2.8 million in distributable income each year. She also manages the grant process for the West Allegheny Physicians’ Association Fund. Additionally, Jennifer assists the grants manager as a member of the Grants Management team, and works closely with the systems owner for the Foundation’s online scholarship platform.
