How Do We Know If We Are Making a Difference? Measuring & Reporting Impact

Description

Do you want to measure the impact of your scholarship? On students or on society? Join us for a panel discussion of planning and implementing scholarship program evaluation. Panelists will share how they have effectively measured impact, planned for longitudinal measures, and reported their outcomes. There will be plenty of time for discussion, so bring your questions, your plans, or your own experience to share with colleagues.

Panelist Bios
W. Aaron House is the Director, Post-Secondary Affairs & Alumni at Pathways to Education Canada. Prior to joining Pathways, Aaron spent over a decade at Brock University where he held positions within Recruitment & Liaison, Academic Advising, and Student Awards & Financial Aid. Aaron proudly served the Ontario University Registrars’ Association for over seven years, as both a member and President of the Association.

As Director of Scholarships, Jamie Williams collaborates with colleagues to manage the scholar life-cycle -- managing recruiting strategies for prospective applicants, coordinating the selection of 150 new Coke Scholars from 200,000 applicants, and developing a portfolio of professional and leadership development experiences for Scholars. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Jamie was director of the National Scholars Program at Clemson University from 2002-2015. In 2006, Jamie led the effort to create USPAA, the Undergraduate Scholars Program Administrators Association, a professional body supporting the work of campus-based scholars programs, and served as president and a board member from 2009-2013. Jamie currently serves on the NSPA board of directors.

Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner is the President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa. She is the third leader of the organization in 100 years. She joined PTK staff in 2012 as the Chief Information and Research Officer, and later served as Interim Executive Director until receiving the permanent appointment in 2016 by the Phi Theta Kappa Board of Directors. Dr. Tincher-Ladner has served for more than 25 years in higher education in the areas of instruction, information technology and research. She holds a Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Mississippi State University and both a master's and bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi.
