Description

Managing scholarship programs is no small feat! Join us in learning how the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, one of the largest scholarship providers in the nation, has developed distinct policies and procedures to benefit students and uphold organizational standards. The presenters will share best practices around the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures for scholarship programming. You will come away with specific examples and ideas on how to adopt strong policies that ensure student success while staying true to the mission of your program.

Presenter Bios
Amy Moroney is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she received her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business. Amy was a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 4-H Scholarship Recipient and has been employed with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 15 years. Previous to her current role, Amy held the positions of Livestock Show Coordinator (3 years) and Managing Director - Auctions (8 years). Amy is passionate about her role and has enjoyed leading the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Programs Team in transforming the Show’s Scholarship Program.

Jamie Voskamp is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Agriculture as a first-generation college student. Jamie has served in her current role since 2016, previously she served as the Coordinator for the Horse Show for five years. As the coordinator for the Scholarship program, Jamie works directly with volunteers, applicants, parents, school officials, and more than 2,300 currently active scholarship students.
