Title: NSPA Promotional Webinar by CampusLogic: How to Protect Students from Scholarship Scams

Presenters: Amy Glynn, Vice President of Financial Aid and Community Initiatives and Chris Chumley, Chief Operating Officer at CampusLogic

Description: Identifying scholarship providers who have ulterior motives (vaping? PII requests? fees?) is getting harder and harder for students. Yet schools rank applying for scholarships as the easiest step in the financial aid process. The vetted external scholarship database in ScholarshipUniverse makes it easy for you to provide relevant, trusted scholarship opportunities to your students, helping them close funding gaps, bringing outside funds to your institution, and improving your enrollment and retention numbers.

You will learn the strict vetting standards required for a scholarship opportunity to be placed in ScholarshipUniverse's fully-vetted external database, how matching students to external scholarships reduces reliance on institutional funds, and how scam scholarships can cause scholarship search fatigue resulting in higher student borrowing and attrition. The presenters will provide a demonstration of the external vetted database, along with other new features.
